Chantal has adopted a new cat who has now started using her bedroom floor as a litter box.  How can she stop her cat messing in inappropriate places?

Hi, I have adopted Gypsie a teenage cat from Animal Action. She was very scared however after taking a few days off work & making her more comfortable she has become so tame. She was using her litter box all the time & has now gone outside to the loo. But for the last few days she has decided to use both of these areas for the loo as well as my bedroom floor. How do I stop her from messing in my room? I put newspaper down & she torn that & messed on the floor
Please help as my husband is getting really upset

Hi Chantal
Put the cat box back where she is messing – she’s not quite ready yet to go outside.
Also put food down for her 24/7 because this behaviour is often a cry for more food.
