Hi
i have a baby Indian parrot which has not yet developed any ring around its neck. i love it . but i had to go out of station for some urgent work for 10 days leaving the parrot with my husband. when i came back i brought it a new big cage which it seems to love. but i dont understand why it has started shaking its head since then? it has good appetite and communicates with me like before. but what may be the problem? i have another pair of African Grey parrots who dont shake their heads like this baby does. i give vitamins to all of them regularly .i want to it to live . i am scared. please advise.

It sounds like your ring neck has ear mites or maybe even an ear infection?
Please take it along to a specialist bird vet as soon as possible, because you certainly don’t want to finish up with a chronic condition which will be the case if the problem isn’t treated in time.
