Ruane needs Glynne’s help - he needs to know how he can stop his dogs destroying the herb garden.
Question:
Glynne,
I recently started with a herb garden for my wife (as a Christmas present). This appears to be a new interest for the dogs and serves as a lure for them
we have a nine year old female golden Labrador and a 11 week old female Cocker Spaniel. We know the young one started with all the craziness of disrupting the garden, but we now suspect that the older one has started showing her ALL the tricks of the trade!
What can we do to keep them out?
Hi Ruane
You sound like a really special husband but I’m afraid you’re up against a brick wall!
I’m sure you are right in assuming your older dog is showing the youngster the tricks of the trade because that is how dogs learn.
But, I’m afraid the only way I know of keeping your dogs from destroying your herb garden is strong fencing or relocating the herbs to a window box!
Sorry … if you solve the problem please let us know.
Glynne
